Samara Pals is a storyteller with an eye for joyful, uplifting humor and uncovering moments of hope within every story. Her work seeks to challenge our preconceptions around societal norms, sexuality, niche communities, and more.

Samara’s unscripted development experience informs her directing work, which has reached millions of viewers across a variety of platforms. She has produced and directed documentary projects for SoulPancake, a division of Participant, and Refinery29 under the stewardship of Vice Media. Currently, she serves as Director of Film/TV Development for the nonfiction production company Laugh Cry Wow.
